from the Bob Mills weather center meteorologist Andrew Adams it is a cloudy cloudy morning across our lucky star sky cam Network in some cases rainy you notice our downtown shot a little bit hazy on our o trip cam as some light rain is moving in from the north occasionally the clouds thin up a little bit this is our Norman camera Norman Regional camera and you notice the clouds kind of lift up a little bit peaks of sun kind of try to break through they can't get all the way through the clouds but it's just a little a little bit lighter in some Pockets but overall most of us experiencing that kind of denser overcast this morning as our latest storm system even though the main center of it is off to the east we're getting that wraparound precipitation from the north mainly in the form of very light rain that's the good news and certainly not cold enough for snow so nothing that's going to really really uh ruin our Sundays but it is making for a soggier Sunday as that rain is drifting in from the north the Leading Edge of the showers that we saw this morning they wet the ground first heading toward Alex and Lindsay Mayville purcel you're starting to dry out those little sprinkles are leaving you alone Norman was dry for a little bit but the break is about to end as that light rain from Oklahoma county is about to make it into Northern Cleveland County so more you'll start to notice some little drizzle patches start to work in some rain has been passing through I'll be at very light here in Oklahoma County up through pedmont into Canadian County very very light rain farther to the north you can see this kind of broad area of this light rain really fills in as you get into Logan and Kingfisher County and even points north of that this extends all the way to the Kansas border but you do notice as you head east of Medford we'll get breaks in this from time to time where it'll kind of let up a little bit and overall the rain is very light so rain totals from this not super high but as this continues from the north we'll start to see more of that fill in throughout the day like we're seeing in woods County right now some light rain in Alva heading toward bous Junction some of that rain toward major County and then eventually a little bit of a soggy look as we zoom in on the Metro with this rain moving in from the north and breaks from time to time yes so it's not a wall of water the entire day but we'll deal with some showers we'll deal some drizzle off and on as we continue through our day but you can bet that it will happen it's already happening here this morning later into this evening it's going to let up a little bit the clouds still kind of heading uh holding fast and they'll be with us all day long as well so if you're not getting rained on like Southern Oklahoma has more of an isolated to scattered chance of showers not as widespread as Central and Northern Oklahoma cloud cover still holding on as we go through the day Northeastern Oklahoma staying on the soggier side with some of that light rain and drizzle as well but once again as we head into the evening in the overnight that main storm system center is well off to the east it's going to be farther to the east by this point and that's going to break things down a little bit dry us out much d for our Monday keep in mind it'll be cool today with the cloud cover and the rain warmer than average temperatures they return this work week a little rain chance Wednesday night into Thursday with a system to our North we'll be on the tail end of that and then we're keeping an eye on this coming weekend Saturday Sunday Monday time frame a little bit off timing not completely agreed upon by models but they do show a storm system coming in from the Northwest that could bring us some rain chances a couple models trying to flirt with cold enough air to try to bring in a little mix over to snow but that is kind of on the newer end of things a lot of model data still plenty warm and too warm for that to occur but it does look like a cold front behind that system will chill things down at the back end of the nday but not a complete winter cold chill much much hazier look on our oot trip cam we can barely see the top of Devon Tower up there in the clouds on luy Star sky cam Network 48 degrees wind out of the north northwest so you factor all that with the clouds it's going to keep things on the cooler side we've got a little bit of fog up in Northwest Oklahoma Southeast Oklahoma as well lowered visibility throughout the day with the drizzle and light rain but other than that it is very very mild this morning temperatures in the 40s across the board in the Metro 49 in minko that dropped a degree from the first half hour 48 in Oklahoma City more in Norman 46 in Midwest City a little bit of a wider Zoom some low 40s down to the Southwest some mid-40s or Southeast rather some mid-40s up to the Northwest and occasionally you'll see a few of our sites close to 50 but overall a cool morning with that North Breeze holding on this afternoon staying on the cool side low 50s upper 40s in the north with the clouds with the rain in central Northern and Eastern Oklahoma lower rain chances down across the South overnight lows back into the 30s and 40s so pretty mild for this time of year but a little bit chillier than this morning and then some 50s to enjoy tomorrow afternoon and temperatures going in the right direction as we head through the middle of the week we'll keep an eye on those Super Bowl Sunday rain chances that's all I got for now new's going to be back right after this
