Cassie Heiter’s Friday Overnight Forecast

yes you're going to e some hot cocoa when it cools down here too oh my gosh yes absolutely so here's the thing December all in all was actually pretty warm for us we actually ran uh well above normal the hottest temperature that we had so far this month was 68 degrees we have one more day well no wait two more days in December but tomorrow is actually looking really nice as far as tornadoes we did not see any tornadoes that's a good thing but we also had at least some rain which is pretty much on par actual 1.76 but the average 1 .79 so we did really good there and as far as snowfall we averag just under 2 in we're not coming in on any snowfall this time but that could change as we get into January today though we made it to 51 degrees in Oklahoma City lots of 40s across the East some mid and even some upper 50s and parts of Western and Southwest Oklahoma it's cool down since then this is our downtown camera but of our lucky star Sky Kim Network mostly clear 36 degrees that wind out of the West Northwest at 6 M an hour so it feels more like 31° temperatures kind of all over the place right now we have upper 20s and low 30s across the north but we still have some low 40s showing up in Western and just off to the southeast of the Metro 35 there in Ada but some mid and upper 30s across the southern half of the state with the wind again out of the West to Northwest between about 5 to 10 miles an hour in some spots it's gone completely calm so right now it feels more like the mid and upper 20s across the north feels like 25 degrees in El Reno it feels like the 20s and 30s across the far south so it's pretty much just cold all across the state well here's the thing the snow storm that brought at least some of the states some snow yesterday that continues to move off to the east well we've got high pressure in control for now but a cold front is on the way that's going to be moving in as we get into tomorrow night so we have one more day of some really nice weather in fact tomorrow is looking really nice with temperatures well into the 50s we're going to approach about 60 degrees here in Oklahoma City and 60s across parts of Southwest Oklahoma the wind's going to be very light so all the kids that got all those Christmas toies that they really haven't been able to play with outside tomorrow's the day but it's going to be very temporary because the coldfront does come in Saturday night so for your Sunday it will be chilly it's going to be a dry front so temperatures dropping down into the 40s we're also going to have more wind it's going to be out of the Northwest so windshield is going to be a factor New Year's Day itself a little bit colder temperatures in any one spot dropping a couple of degrees and then as we get to about midweek we got a few storms on the way storm system number one that's moving in about Tuesday into Wednesday at this point for Oklahoma City it looks like more of a Tuesday night event and there is a chance for rain and snow but overall chances for now are pretty low storm number two that moves in by Friday and right now it's still looking more like the southern half of the state has the best chance but still a slight chance of rain and or snow and then we're looking at storm number three eventually now we're kind of getting into January 9th January 10th this is another storm system that actually has a little bit more moisture to work with and also much colder air so this could be more of a snow event by the time it actually gets here but we'll find tun it as we get a little bit closer tonight dropping down to about 28 degrees in Oklahoma City about 24 in P City about 28 in Still Water 31 in loton about 21 tomorrow morning in Clinton but tomorrow afternoon this is the best day 60 arore 60 in Woodward 59 in Clinton 58 in hober and 59 tomorrow afternoon in lot with a light wind coming in out of the Southwest but the cold front moves in Saturday night so for your Sunday afternoon that wind's going to be out of the North between 10: to 20 with temperatures in the low 40s so it's going to feel colder than that but 39 in Pon City 39 in ALA 43 and Clinton 47 in hober about 49 Sunday afternoon down in alus if you have any New Year's Eve plans well hopefully they're going to be indoors because by midnight temperatures will be in the low3s but we're also going to have a Breezy North Wind so it's going to feel more like the mid-20s New Year's Day itself certainly cold highs in the low 40s upper 30s across the north nday forecast showing that next week it's going to stay chilly with a slight chance of rain there's our Crew sports is next
