and welcome back hopefully you enjoyed a beautiful suntastic Saturday I know I did with my little girl Harper can you tell what we were doing yeah we were taking down the Christmas lights because who wants to take down Christmas lights when it's in the 30s and 40s I know I don't I was enjoying this 60° high temperature here today so we took down the lights and enjoyed some nice outdoor uh time with her new bike and Colton's new scooter as a lot of the neighborhood kids were out and about and why wouldn't you look all the sunshine and temperatures into the upper 50s to low 60s some 10 to 12 to 13° above our average high temperature of 48° so again here at the end of December you take it as it's been a mile to warm December look at all the dates here in the orange that are above average we have a little bit of rain in the middle of the month and again near average precipitation in total for the month but no real cold shots our coldest coldest high was only 40 our coldest low it's only been 23° so we kept with the mild quiet weather that we enjoyed this fall right into December we all talk about the balances of weather okay they all equal out well we're on one side eventually it's going to go to the other side right and that might be the case as we go into 2024 uh for the coming couple of months I think January and February might be a little bit of uh wintry and cold that would go with our Winter forecast that we put out here this fall as well temperatures tonight will fall right now in the 30s and 40s will fall in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees and not much wind to speak of as there is a weak front that will Cruise uh through the area tomorrow morning that'll bring a North Wind and like I mentioned a little bit cooler air behind that cold front temperatures here tonight upper 20s to low 30s is that North Wind takes over by the time we wake up tomorrow morning clouds will thicken up tomorrow partly to mostly cloudy skies we'll see see some sunshine out there uh low 40s to the North Middle 40s to upper 40s so definitely a cooler North Breeze and with the clouds around the lack of sunshine it will be a much colder feeling than it was here today with all that Sunshine as we're ringing in the new year we'll go from the 40s to near the upper 20s with windchills near the upper teens to near 20 with uh we're ringing in the new year 2024 right around 30° and New Year's Day we don't warm up that much middle 30s to near 40 to the low 40 so another cool day uh tomorrow and again on Monday with some sunshine on the New Year's Day look at all the Pacific action big waves coming off the west coast of California as they've had some flooding because of the uh waves going Inland but another factor is yeah there's cold air bottled up here across Canada because the jet streams going going west to east eventually we're going to pull this down as we get closer to the middle of the month maybe some Arctic a heading our way dry front tonight tomorrow chilly conditions as we ring in the New Year and then one weather system looks to be some clouds very low chance of rain and then Friday into Saturday mainly rain low chance of winter weather and then as we head towards the 8th 9th and 10th maybe a bigger storm system with some colder air behind it and true Arctic air not the Canadian Air that we will see this week so 40s for the most part over the next 9 days ups and downs no Arctic air and a couple weather systems Tuesday night and again on Friday to watch
