[Music] next we have our general consent items consideration of 6 A1 uh consideration of uh purchases consideration for authorization to proceed with the bidding the main 03 and tank 02 projects yes sir good evening mayor and Council Chris iing director of Water Resources oh sorry I don't want to talk too too loud um well before you this evening is a consideration to proceed with this uh bidding these projects prior to obtaining loans through the state um something we did on the last water on the intake project and also the second phase of the water plant um okay just background on on these items um are on these two projects they're included in the revised water system master plan that we did in 2019 um Council approved obviously different Council for the most part um it authorizes us to proceed for with bidding these projects once they're permitted uh likely to occur in February um just pending the Department of Environmental Quality permitting um we say February but there's no guarantee they're short staffed and really backlogged with projects and then funding for these two projects was included in our rate rate study and rate plan that's currently in place that's important to reiterate many many times these are not new projects they've been on the list since 2019 in the rate plan part of the plan but we are bidding them individually so we don't have them wrapped up in one big contract so next slide uh just a basic timeline of of where we've been 2013 the water Wastewater master plan was completed uh 2019 was when we got the big surprise on the cost of the water plant uh broke it up into several different projects and then uh 2020 we started the first phase which is just wrapped up this year and then you can see the rest of the timeline um and then we're starting on the last phase of the actual water plant itself that design this month next slide uh just a picture out this is just east of the lake the first phase just wrapped up uh well it is a new New Year so last year now um but running running well um that was our solids processing we'll move to the next slide as you can see lots of construction happening out on the site and then the next phase of the water plant we'll move to the next slide this just gives you a general overview from looking South to the north uh towards 66 imp Post Road uh just how big this site is and how many different processes and buildings are being put in place um we'll move to the next slide and then just a graphic and this is in the packet online so anybody can look it up it there's so many projects to talk about um and then we can put a map together and it still doesn't cover everything so lots of things happening but just trying to outline generally where all these are I think it's is important and but really hard to relay the amount of detail that uh goes into these projects it's it's a lot but lots of things happening right now but this is a good map of where these are at so if you ever want to have a scavenger hunt you know this is the this the way to do it for water projects then of course more information you know both on our City website we do monthly updates and then we do an annual big up date that covers the costs um what's going on with the project where it's at in the queue so every year since 2019 sometimes multiple times in a year we'll actually go through and update the document so that um anybody can follow follow what what's going on and how much has it cost so the next okay questions well one thing thank you one thing we have to we have to really on this project right here is is reemphasize that what we're doing is asking for permission to go ahead with the bidding but the rates the the the money that's associated with it is already in our rates right that's there's there's not a rate increase or anything like that it's already there and then I appreciate showing the map of all the different projects that are going on because this is it's a lot uh but felt It's always important to continually put in front of the of everyone all the projects and where we are the statuses of them uh because we're doing something that not other cities in in in Oklahoma are doing right now we're taking care of our water for today and for the future so that everyone here can have clean pure water when you turn on the faucet and that's very important Council any additional questions what would you like to do on the side of it thank you thank [Music] you
